PLATINUM CLAD ANODES

Anomet's Platinum Clad Anodes are being used today for several electrochemical and surface
finishing applications:

  • Precious Metal Electroplating -- as anodes in automated gold plating machines for electroplating PC board fingers, for inside diameter plating of cylindrical shapes, and for many other precious metal plating applications.
  • Chrome Plating -- Anomet's dimensionally stable anodes provide uniform current density for uniform plating.
  • Electrodialysis -- used in conjunction with ion membrane technology for water purification, waste water treatment, and electroplating solutions recovery.
  • Cathodic Protection -- as anodes for impressed current cathodic production of structures like storage tanks, pressure vessels, docks, pipelines, and reinforced concrete.
  • Insoluble Auxiliary Anodes and Selective (Brush) Plating -- on any surface finishing application where a cost effective, dimensionally stable anode is needed.
  • Anomet's Platinum Clad Electrodes -- feature a complete metallurgical bond of the metals. This means longer platinum life, excellent mechanical strength and ductility, and greater reliability. A copper core permits simple electrical connections and greater conductivity which reduces power requirements. Either a niobium or titanium substrate can be used depending on the application. Platinum thickness can be specified to meet desired requirements. Therefore, our electrodes are cost effective. They are available to our customers in rod, wire, strip, sheet, or woven mesh.
